Rianne Meyers was born in Philadelphia, PA and was named after a character in Lethal Weapon.
Make of that what you will.
Rianne has loved art from an early age, ever since she was told that artists don’t have to do math. Not wanting to do math ever again, she refused any other possible career path. Rianne graduated with a BFA in Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and since then, has worked as an assistant artist on graphic novels Dragon Hoops by Gene Luen Yang and FLIP by Ngozi Ukazu, and has also worked as a storyboard artist at Kastner for Red Bull’s animated commercials.
Some of Rianne’s greatest influences include Glen Keane, Mike Mignola, Tyson Hesse, Tracy Yardley, and Tess Stone, as well as her friends and family, who have always pushed her to succeed.
Besides cartooning, Rianne enjoys video games, theme parks, and animated films. She is also a diehard Sonic the Hedgehog fan!
